The Circular Innovation Council leverages a global network of organizations that support, mentor, and engage in activities to advance the circular economy in Canada through circular procurement.

HP Canada is a founding partner of CircularProcurement.ca and has long been a leader in advancing the circular economy in Canada and abroad by adopting innovative circular business models for IT services and products.

The Government of the Netherlands is keen to set an example in the transition to a circular economy. All public authorities in the Netherlands will together strive to prevent a million tonnes of carbon emissions through circular procurement. Rijkswaterstaat, for example, is experimenting with building a viaduct from reusable components, and the Ministry of Defence is having parts of its equipment made from recycled parts of old military equipment.

A global network of more than 1,750 local and regional  committed to sustainable urban development. Active in 100+ countries, ICLEI influences sustainability policy and drive local action for low emission, nature-based, equitable, resilient and circular development.

Dr. Mervyn Jones provides technical support on the development and implementation of the 10YFP: Sustainable Public Procurement Programme, a global framework of action to enhance international co-operation to accelerate the shift towards sustainable consumption and production in developed and developing countries.

As the order of government closest to people’s daily lives, local governments understand the issues that matter to Canadians and they have the expertise to deliver results. As the national voice for local governments, FCM helps empower cities and communities to build a more prosperous, livable, and sustainable future.

Over the past 10 years, ECPAR has equipped more than 50 organizations and 200 procurement and sustainable development professionals, led communities of practice that have produced more than 30 operational tools, promoted the transfer and sharing of expertise and supported the implementation of sustainable procurement practices. Its multi-stakeholder nature brought organizations together for a common purpose and provided a unique lever to optimize resources and accelerate processes.
